There’s no substitute for hard work

When I was pursuing my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, I made the decision to go to Germany for my Master's studies. One of the first things I heard from everyone was that learning German is essential—and that it’s not easy. But I was determined to follow my passion, no matter how much effort it took. There were many options for German classes in my area, but a friend highly recommended Kanchan Ma’am. I still remember going for an initial meeting with my mother—and both of us were immediately impressed by her calm, confident, and professional nature. Looking back, deciding to learn German under her guidance was truly a life-changing decision. I completed A1 and A2 levels with Ma’am, and the entire experience was incredibly enriching. One of the things I appreciated most was the small batch size, which allowed her to give individual attention to every student. Her classes were consistent, well-structured, and always engaging. She used to give regular homework and mock exams, which helped us prepare thoroughly. Something that stood out throughout her teaching was her strive for perfection. Whether it was the pronunciation of each and every letter, or the precise use of grammar, Ma’am would insist on getting it exactly right—and that habit rubbed off on us as students too. This attention to detail built a strong foundation in the language. After completing A1 and A2 with her, I continued with B1 and it was Kanchan Ma’am’s teaching that gave me the clarity and confidence to progress. Today, I am living in Germany and her training helps me every single day. I had the opportunity to intern at BMW in Munich, and the entire interview and work environment was in German. Thanks to the strong base she helped me build, I was able to manage everything smoothly. I will always remain deeply grateful for the role Kanchan Ma’am played in my journey—not just in language learning, but in shaping my personal growth as well. Danke schön, Ma’am!
