| A1 - Basic level 1 | Where one builds on one’s basic grammar skills & vocabulary to be able to speak & write simple sentences. One can introduce oneself, learn how to make enquiries & give instructions. |
| A2 - Basic level 2 | One learns how to express oneself adequately in familiar, everyday situations & to read & understand simple texts. |
| B1 - Basic level 3 | One consolidates & revises basic grammar structures & learns to lead discussions on interesting topics. |
| B2 - Intermediate level 1 | One has a command of the essentials of German. One practices reading, writing & discussing difficult topics & work-related issues. |
| C1 - Intermediate level 2 | One learns to express oneself clearly both in speaking & writing on a large number of topics & to understand almost all texts. |
